Kitega community centre is a project established to solve problems in communities. It focusses on th marginalised group, poor and rural comunities in Uganda with an emphasis of children with learning difficulties. Thuis the project is established to offer capacity building to the members and improve their standards of living
Background:
Established in March 2000, kitega centre continues with it mandate of advocating for the rights of its members and uplifting standards.
Objectives:
End poverty and suffering in the disadvantaged communities in Uganda.\\r\\n\\r\\nHelp advocate for the rights of the disabled children especially those with learning difficulties so they can gain status in society.\\r\\n\\r\\nHave the children who are marginalised contribute to social causes like environmental protection.\\r\\n\\r\\nImprove the liuving standards of members.,\\r\\n\\r\\nDevelop talents of the disabled and disadvantaged children through vocational traing and providing a basis for incopme generation.\\r\\n\\r\\nHelp the poor and orphans have access to education.\\r\\n\\r\\nICT DEVELOPMENT AND AWARENESS.\\r\\n\\r\\nCurb the spread of Aids / HIV through awareness.
Milestones:
Their are milestones like liumited funding.\\r\\n\\r\\nMore skilled persoinell needed by the centre to carry on the work.\\r\\n\\r\\nGovernment poluicy at grassroot level limited.
