Description:
MISSION OF KYDC:
Training to practice, professional skills and granting necessary inputs for the creation of self employment for integral development of disadvantaged youths and the community in general from every poorest family in rural areas and towns in Republic Democratic of Congo in KIVU REGIONS.
Education assistance to the needy shall enable them to enjoy equal social, economic and political opportunities with the rich in RD-CONGO
Geographical areas of operations: Kivu Region, Eastern RD-Congo
Background:
The Target audience are: Children, Youths and Women groups
-To promote the Girl child by training her to active professional life.
-The KYDC shall open a Vocational Training Center (VTC) where by the youths shall joined voluntarily the different courses, to be train in different skills for the better future.
-They will be able to get employment after the training
-Chances to produce better productive youths in the future will increase.
-They will become affectionate and exemplary.
-The decreasing of redundancy child in the region, the decreasing of substance and drug abuse among the youths etc…...
The youths shall be able to participate in National and International level seminars after there being prepared and shall be able to participate in planning and management of the projects in KYDC.
Objectives:
Issue(s) of operations: Child Education (CE), Women’s Economic (WE), Empowerment and Reproductive Health.
Activities: -Child sponsorship: Primary, Secondary and Vocational Training for the disadvantaged.
-Women's Economic Empowerment: Involvement of women formed groups in income generating activities to support their families’ .E.g. Tailoring, Piggery and poultry etc…....
-Reproductive healthy: HIV/AIDS, STI community sensitization.
The KYDC uses the following strategies to realize/ fulfill its objectives:
1. The Information-Education-Communication(IEC)
2. The approach youths for youths
3. The execution of support programs to basis education
4. The participative approach and implication of the target public at every level of the execution of the programs
5. The technical, material and financial supports.
The main domains of intervention are:
*The education and promotion for the rights of children (especially the disadvantaged)
*Health
*Social mobilization in favor of youths, children in age of between 7-24 years old
*The protection of environment
*The support to the promotion of women.
Budget:
In order to Build a strong building the following must be done:
$50,345.00 US Dollars must be received from the community, Non-Governmental -Organization, Government , and Donnors
