Background:
BRIEF HISTORY OF LOVEPEC ORPHANAGErnLOVEPEC handicap and orphanage centre is a non Governmental, Non-political and non denominational institution which was conceived by Rev. Amin Tazoh in 1990 and was born in June 2002 in Lower-Bokwai village in Buea of the South West Region in Cameroon, where the foundation stone was laid by Late Chief Chow James on the 26th of June 2002 (Traditional ruler). The centre started with 5 children and is presently having 86 children with the youngest 5weeks old as of now, 14 in secondary schools, 3 apprentices in the areas of catering, carpentry and designing. (56 children live in the orphanage and we take care of their education, housing, feeding, health etc. We also have 29 of them being taken care of out of the orphanage.rn LOVEPEC runs a nursery and primary school in the orphanage since the nearest school is two miles away from the orphanage and the management is unable to sponsor children into other nursery and primary schools. With these, Her Excellency the Minister of Basic education has given us the final authorization for the creation and effective running.
Objectives:
- To provide facilities (accommodation, clothing, nutrition, psycho social activities to orphans, handicap and the abandoned children) rn- To provide education in circular studies, vocational training, animal husbandry etc.rn- To promote the spirit of self reliance.

Needs:
SOME DIFFICULTIES FACEDrn1) Lack of Enough/Good Sleeping AccommodationrnThe dormitories rooms are too small for the numbers of children. It is air tied and lack space for more beds to liberate those who are not urinating from those who are urinating. Since the structures used as dormitories were not build well because of the little finance, the hygienic conditions are not satisfactory to guarantee perfect health rn2) Babies UnitrnThe orphanage needs a good babies unit since we received children from one day old and need not to put them with bigger children. This will enable us take more care and hygiene will be taken into consideration better, and proper health and feeding will be handled.rnrn3) ElectricityrnThe orphanage is about 300m away from the highways where the electricity poles are found and the little light we have is being connected from a neighbor’s house who is about 250m away from the orphanage. The orphanage suffers black out most often because of low voltage. We therefore make our cry known to everyone who hears about LOVEPEC orphanage to jointly support the orphans, abandoned and disabled to happily reach their destiny.rnSir/Madam, I wish to make it clear that if there are any questions or documents needed to clarity any doubts, we are much happy to provide them.
