· MCC builds strong relationships with other agencies; In 2006…
o Over 100 agencies refer clients to our core service
o As guest speakers we made over 50 presentations to over 500 attendees within 12 agencies.
§ We have 5 specialized presentation topics
o Facilitates at least one monthly support meeting, average 10 participants each or 120 annually.
o Our flyers are in over 500 agencies across the GTA and we have a web presence on 25 different agency web sites (including MCC’s).
o Every alternative month we hold a ‘support group’ meeting at a different agency – and the space is donated in-kind.
o We collaborate with one agency to submit a joint-funding Government proposal
A Reciprocal Collaboration Model to;
§ Share space for meetings
§ Refer clients to each agencies core service
§ Co-submit government funding proposals
· MCC inspires people to volunteer; In 2006…
o We have a core base of volunteers who model the diversity of the community we serve.
