Medina Girls Association’s vision is to recruit the maximum volunteers of Medina’s girls from different backgrounds to serve the international community visiting the Holy Mosque. This implies unlimited services as volunteers are supposed to be available at many locations ready for all arising needs. However, the following services are responding to the main needs expected from the guests of the Holy Mosque;
1. Iftar Services: MGA (Medina Girls Association) will be offering volunteers to supervise a sufra, funded by various donors who prefer their iftar donations to be distributed by MGA members instead of hiring others for that service. Members will be also offering their assistance in other sufras which has a shortage of hosts.
2. Beverages Services: distributing water inside the mosque (and coffee during fasting days), and having two volunteers per door with portable water heaters to distribute coffee and tea cups.
3. Distributing the in-kind donations presented by Medina’s people.
4. Distributing Tissues (wet & dry) for those in need, especially at the toilets.
5. Distributing brochures (religious and health ones, plus MGA brochures).
6. Leading lost people inside and outside the Mosque (in the central area only).
7. Taking care of lost kids and notifying the centre of lost people about them.
8. Assisting in enforcing order amongst kids to provide a more spiritual environment for guests by engaging with some activities with the kids.
9. Helping elderly people to walk (especially at the gates and the toilets).
10. Pushing wheelchairs from the open areas (where men are not allowed to proceed any further) to inside the mosque.
11. First Aid Services: providing some painkillers and bandages for small injuries, presented by qualified volunteers.
12. Assisting employees of the Mosque during the visits of the Prophet’s Grave.
13. Providing a secured free of charge lockers at the open areas (an authorization for this service is needed from the Administration of the Holy Mosque).
14. Assisting in the cleaning of the Mosque at busy times, especially open areas.
15. Phone calls services (local calls with a limit of 5mins per call).
16. Providing electrical charging for visitors phones.
17. Providing shoes for those who lost theirs.
18. Providing little pillows for the comfort of visitors who seek more comfort while waiting for the prayers (an authorization for this service is needed from the Administration of the Holy Mosque).
19. Bringing the already existed chairs for those in need.
20. Putting shoes away of the carpets in the nearest shoes cabinet with the permission of its owner, or giving a shoes bag for that.
21. Distributing bags for those in need to carry out their belongings.
22. Hands Wash Service: providing tissues or instant soaps after iftar meals or any other snack.
23. Distributing a Thank You note (comes in many languages) for any visitor doing a remarkable service.
