Timeline:
December 5 07 to July 6 08
Description:
Hi everyone, and thank for you visiting my project. My name is Amanda and I am currently programme coordinator for the African Medical & Research Foundation in Canada - the world's leading African non-governmental health organisation. Over the coming six months, I will be embarking on a journey of over 1000 miles in support of AMREF. 26.2 of these will be comprised of the ING Ottawa Marathon on May 25th, 2008. Another 3.66 will be in altitude (5,895 ft), through a vertical ascent to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, the world's tallest freestanding mountain and the highest peak on the African continent. The remainder of these miles will be covered right here in Toronto, as I push my mental and physical limits through 25 weeks of training. All pledges raised in support of this initiative will be donated to AMREF. My goal is $15,000.
I invite you to visit my fundraising site at
