The activities to be undertaken to produce the results are:
- form an action team;
- involve all stakeholders and youth in designing publicity materials;
- develop publicity materials;
- build awareness through publicity.
Background:
The crime rate, especially by youth, on Bonaire has the whole community concerned. The good news is that there are real things we can do about the problems that plague our community. Youth can work with their friends, other young people, and adult leaders to learn the facts about crime and violence, how they can help prevent crimes and how they avoid falling into crime related activities.
Objectives:
When the action is successfully executed BYOF hopes to have made youth aware of the facts of crime and how they can protect themselves in order not to fall in to crime related activities.
Milestones:
The expected results that will be obtained after completion of the action are:
- youth are aware of the fact that crime does not pay;
- a youth action team encourages their peers not to fall into crime related activities.
