Description:
Nonviolent Communication at the UN will be one of the areas of focus of the Seasons of Peace Cooperation Circles and will explore the development of a language of peace for the United Nations and the use of a variety of nonviol;ent communication by members of the United Nations Community.
Participants in the project are invited to discover, and to share, peaceful and nonviolent forms of communication in support of upholding the Peace as central to the United Nations purpose and charter
and to learn to use tools and processes to dramatically increase the ability to be heard and to hear others.
Practical and proven in international, intertribal, organizational and interpersonal conflicts around the world, Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is a language model and approach -- developed by Marshall Rosenberg -- for working through conflict with compassion and speed in the presence of cultural differences such as race, gender, nationality, language, age, political and religious beliefs.
