Description:
HOPe's first step. We all make a Peace Day Promise, promising to do an action on the Peace Day, on September 21. After that day, we will write small reports on what we did to share with each other. When we have completed this, we can regard HOPe as working also on far distances!
Background:
The International Day of Peace was established in 1981 by the General Assembly of the UN. September 21 is the day where all member states, organisation of the UN system, regional and non-governmental organisations and individuals should promote peace. The day is also a ceasefire day.
Objectives:
We are all going to make a promise for the peace day to do something, a small action in our local communities that promotes peace on that day. After the action, we will write down what we did, how it was, and why we did it. This information will be shared with the others. The purpose of this action is to go trough with the first HOPe action globally and to show that we are able to share information.
