Non-profit project networking site and charitable participant in the Free Digital Universe, a virutal game for funding charities and individual Users.
Background:
Peace Portal is the charity aspect of a global cooperative designed to help fund charities and the individuals participating. Multiple sectors are addressed and funding of groups is intended to compliment sustainable planning.
Objectives:
1. Allow smaller charity groups to have a opportunity to raise funds for themselves.
2. Integrate funding of larger more established charities with funding of smaller groups that can build on capacity to existing projects.
3. Identify and implement cross-cultural solutions through partner networking.
Milestones:
Site launched in 2006, currently over 50 organizations are involved including larger entities such as EarthDance, WWF, and PEace Activist.
Budget:
Budgetary needs for 12 months are expected to reach $170,000 after which the organization is self-funded as a result of the economic platform partner activities in the charitable fundraiser.
Needs:
Joomla programmers, charitable partners with solutions, and monetary grants.
