From examining issues revealed by Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath, what shared issues do women and girls of color in the United States face as they rebuild, recover and renew hope in the sea of despair? What lessons learned are there? Please provide insight on challenges and opportunities in rebuilding lives and communities. Are these issues seen in other communities? If so, please give an example.
