The Pixel Project: Taking on the challenge of raising US$1 million (or more) for Malaysia's Women's Aid Organisation (http://www.wao.org.my) and the U.S.A.'s National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (http://www.ncadv.org) during the biggest global recession ever (according to Alan Greenspan) by taking fund-and-awareness raising into the 21st Century.rnrnWe are a global Web 2.0-driven fund and awareness raising project for the Violence Against Women (VAW) cause that proposes to raise US$1 milllion in funds by selling a world-exclusive million-pixel picture of a group global male superstar role models online for US$1 per pixel while fully using the power of the Internet to drive viral word-by-mouth awareness raising on the grassroots level.rnrnThe Pixel Project is led by a growing team of volunteers who believe greatly in the Violence Against Women cause - we strongly feel that no woman should face violence, EVER. Objectives:

Needs:
Administrative Team • Drafting letters to various parties for assistance.
• Liaising with partners, sponsors, donors etc.
• Assisting the project leaders with keeping track of teams and getting people to keep their deadlines
• Helping with a little bit of everything including organising forums, booking hotels, synchronising schedules etc.
Recruitment team • Recruiting skilled and general volunteers.
• Headhunting and locking down celebrities required for this project.
Research and Sponsorship • Researching and Building sponsorship and other databases.
• Writing and/or customising sponsorship letters.
• Attending sponsorship meetings if in your local area.
Legal Team • Drafting Non-Disclosure Agreements, Contracts and other paperwork.
• Act as general counsel
• Act as trustees for the project’s bank account/finances.
• Mediate between different parties in case of dispute.
Web 2.0 • Looking after social network accounts e.g. Facebook, Twitter etc. Including growing our online audience in preparation for the launch of the campaign.
• Other online communication tools e.g. external portals, blogging, email campaigning etc.
• Generating a viral word-of-mouth epidemic about the campaign.
