Description:
The purpose of the Project Nabuur Initiative is to promote and defend reason, science, and freedom of inquiry in all areas of human endeavor.
The Project Nabuur Initiatives is a transnational nonprofit organization that encourages evidence-based inquiry into science, pseudoscience, medicine and health, religion, ethics, secularism, and society.
Through education, research, publishing, and social services, it seeks to present affirmative alternatives based on scientific naturalism.
The Resource Center is also interested in providing rational ethical alternatives to the reigning paranormal and religious systems of belief, and in developing communities where like-minded individuals can meet and share experiences.
Background:
Project Nabuur Initiatives Chapter at Eco Ethics International Union is a member to the EEIU East Africa Federation, of which it houses the head office. Together with the EEIU Morogoro, they have stipulated an agreement that overseas regional development towards the EEIU Concepts and more so, geared towards the development of better thesis to EEIU.
Objectives:
Our mission Statement shall be "commitment to conservation of biodiversity through scientific research on flora and fauna" with the aims of:
· protection and monitoring of endangered species
· resolution of human-wildlife conflicts
· the role of community in conservation
· the interaction of laboratory animal science with wild animal conservation and
· the investigation of zoonotic diseases of public health importance.
Milestones:
Currently, the organisation has four strategic offices in Ukunda, Nairobi, and Kisii within Kenya, and the diplomatic office in Arusha (Tanzania). We evaluate claims of the paranormal such as phychic phenomena, ghosts, uchawi e.t.c
Budget:
We are in need of funds to realise our ecological research, conservation needs and expansion
Needs:
We need to partner with organisations that are specialised in the ecology front, humanism and human rights as wells as feminist organisations that would best assist in realising our initiatives that pronounce open collaborative space.
