Description:
This is a project we are currently advertising in Nigeria, Africa as a pilot and hope to begin in other African countries soon, to encourage youths to participate actively in their local communites. It is based on a similar volunteer programme in the U.K however has been adapted to meet the needs of local communites in third world countries.
Individuals who are able to volunteer one full day or more once a week to work in their local community (Minimum of 6 months) can apply.
After you have been issued with a reference number please send us a copy of your CV. Main details required are: full name, address, telephone number, date of birth, educational history and work experience.
Background:
Community Support workers are volunteers based on the streets in the community, offering assistance and reassurance to the public. Here are just some of the issues you may deal with in your work:
·contributing to the regeneration of local communities
.dealing with litter and traffic
·helping to support the public: local enquiries
. assisting small businesses and schools in your local community
· helping to control crowds
· assisting in painting buildings, pulling out weeds, planting flowers etc
Objectives:
Benefits: Rehab Plus will write references for successful candidates who are applying for jobs in Nigeria, or abroad. References will only be written for committed candidates on completion of a minimum of 6 month. We will only write references for individuals still performing their duties in the community AFTER 6 MONTHS who we can guarantee their character, dedication and commitment.
If you terminate your community duties after 6 months, please note: NO REFERENCES WILL BE ISSUED!
References will be written based on reports from the community you are working in and your weekly report to Rehab Plus innovation. Please note: we will not be applying for Jobs for anyone, just providing written references on request from the organization you are seeking employment with.
