Objectives:
Our main objective is to educate youth in New Jersey on social issues and then move them to take action. We want to give young people tools to make positive social change. We see that our generation is very apathetic toward global issues, and we're going to change that through education and awareness. We're creating the leaders.

Milestones:
As of March 2008, we have gotten a venue courtesy of the Zarepath Christian Church, we have several speakers, including Salifu Kamara, a former child soldier from Sierra Leone, David Tarantino who works to end hunger and poverty in NJ, Audrey Walters from Make Way Partners, and others.

Budget:
Speakers: $500+ US
Food: $300 US if we get donations
Venue: Free!
Printing and Advertising: Free!
Decor: :$200 US?
Total: about $1000 US (give or take)

Needs:
Cash! We are applying for grants, including the Plum Grant from dosomething.org, but we have not met our need yet. We also need performers! That includes, poets, singers, bands, rappers, and other performers from central NJ who have a focus on social issues or can perform something pertaining to social change/ activism.
