The organisation is now a unit/department in the Ministry of Youth Development and Employment Creation. This was after discussions between the executive and the Deputy Minister of Youth. However the organisation's vision can still be realised through the United Nations Youth Association of Zimbabwe, of which I happen to be the founder and president.
Thanking all members who were behind the YIC, let's stay together in the UNYAZ.

The organisation is now registered with the ZImbabwe Youth Council as an Association with the status of a national organisation. This means the organisation can be affiliated to both national and international organisations.

22 November 2004 saw the birth of a youth organisation that seeks to increase the participation and representation of the youth in the fight against HIV/AIDS, COnflict transformation and to raise awareness on humanitarian norms. We strongly feel that youths should be at forefront of Global Change. This year saw the organisation being incorporated by the United Nations Development Programme in their training programmes of Conflict Transformation and Negotiation Skills. The Organisation also wrote letters to the ICRC, National Aids Council of Zimbabwe, Ministry of Health and may other organisations for affiliation.
