STUDENT WRITERS CLUB-

was founded by Mubiru Ronnie, male aged 24 and Ugandan (founder of global Information center Uganda website: www.gicug.com and Community youth and child support organization www.cycso.8k.com but all still lacks funding to grow. His photo: http://gicug.com/rn1.html ).He founded SWC to connect, educate, motive and inspire students around the world through their common love of writing, to foster excellence in student writing and to develop computer literacy, creativity and critical thinking skills among participants.

Students will be able to post their original writings to our writers WebPages. They then have the opportunity to read the postings of other students and send constructive cristism to form a thread. Once students receive this feedback from their peers they can edit their work and post a final version to the news group. An online editorial board, made up of teachers around, choose exemplary pieces from these posted as final versions and submit them to some international magazines where they are put together to form the journal and or Published in SWC MAGAZINE, which will be introduced later.

The project has already got 6 committed students to act as project ambassadors for their countries and we are still recruiting more ambassadors, Districts/states and or schools representatives

INTEDED PARTICIPANTS
The project is mainly targeting students in primary and secondary schools but even the university students/individuals will be encouraged to participant in some programs that are intended to equip the general public with self reliance skills (in particular; KEY TO PROSPERITY PROGRAM- intended to help young people acquire the necessary enterprises skills that will inevitably lead them to overcome poverty and become rich.

Objectives:
-To connect students within Uganda and to the outside world
- To help develop students creative and critical thinking skills
- To use writing as a tool that deepens and extends imagination, intellect and emotions
- To create programs that will educate, motivate and encourage students to use and produce languages.



Milestones:
ACTIVITIES
- Develop project website-where members are able to communicate direct online
- Visit schools to educate and encourage students to get involved
- Organize writing Competitions for awards, mainly to encourage more students to participate
- Facilitate students seminars about the project
- Organize and facilitate parties for project members in schools
- Search for information continuously that educate, motivate and inspire students. For example; Offer them weekly quotes that motivate them Forexample; to think creatively, we must be able to look afresh at what we normally take for granted.
- Develop information packages


Budget:
The project currently seeks about $2000, which will be used to develop a better website, to make advertisements, to visit schools, organise awards competions to encourage more students to join, facilitate all activites done by the swc staff,among other things.

PROJECT SUSTAINABILITY
Membership and a small annual subscription fee, in-kind support, Business information packages sold and advertisements on the website will help to keep our project running after the grant period.
