Its been a while since this project got hits and progress reports. My apologies... I have been on the ground trying to tie a few loose ends. I am Happy to report that after setting the Cyber Cafe in westlands we have been doing Data Entry Jobs from some NGOs Any more suggestions will be appreciated... Lets see how we can help.

In December 2004 a group of us came together and drafted a project proposal to set up Data Entry Centers in Kenya. We were hoping to have begun operations in February 2005 though we have not achieved this. Outsourcing has quickly caught up in Kenya with the emergence of the Kencall Call Center at the EPZ. For those who are interested in coming together to see if we can implement the proposal or even better it please do email me. kui_munyua@yahoo.ie

With the recent emergence of jambonet competitors we hope to enjoy cheaper rates and improved internet speeds soon. I hope that this reduction in connectivity pricing will enable many young aspiring youth who would like to set up cybers do so at reduced costs.

We already have helped set up two cyber cafes. One in Nairobi, Westlands area (which was a pilot project) and another in Wangige in Kikuyu Division of Kiambu District.

We have huge overheads that are lagging us behind in setting up of other cybers. This Include Rent, Internet Connection Fees (which are being increased by the month)
