Description:
TIGAid for the Poor is an association of TIG members who wish to make a difference in developing countries. TIGAid will be a vehicle through which money can be raised in order to address specific needs of poverty-stricken areas.
Objectives:
TIGAid aims to start small by defining goals that will be attained through fund-raising. These goals will be related to a mandate decided upon by TIG members, and will focus on important issues related to poverty and sustainable development, ranging from education to agriculture and infrastructure.
Needs:
The project is still in the development phase; what is needed now is a specific first goal of a project that could be worked on by team members. Once this goal is defined, the means by which the team will attempt to attain the goal must be worked out. Preliminarily, we have decided that we might wish to construct a website following the "The Hunger Site" model, and collect donations from TIG members and other individuals worldwide. This website will be the area in which we can concretize our project!
