As part of our efforts to train some secondary school pupils in computer proficiency which has hitherto eluded the average secondary school leaver in the grassroots, we took the bull by the horn by visiting mayfair group of schools, aprivate owned secondary school located in the warrake, etsako west local government area of Edo statein Nigeria with only one computer system at our disposal, we were able to demonstrate that the young can also take leadership role in grassroot development.the exercise spanned three months(may-july) it was a great sucess interms of administrative cooperation,students turnout,impact of the training was felt by the pupils as they now use some it vocabs like "computer virus" to depic an enemy.
Although we encountered some initial difficuylties like power outages,inadequate computer system to go round the number of student population etc.
