More than 640 youth from 32 Anti-AIDS Clubs will have special trainings about HIV/AIDS, Voluntary Counseling and Testing and Peer Education. 34Special events (Public animations) will be held as 4 events in rural areas and 30 events in 30 secondary schools.4 Mobile VCT Units will be provided in rural areas.
The project execution will be divided into four main steps: Project preparation, Anti-AIDS Clubs trainings, Special Events (Public animation) and Mobile VCT Services Units. The project preparation includes contacts, training of volunteers, one day conference and production of the documentary film. The second step will be trainings of the 32 Anti-AIDS Clubs 2 from rural and 30 from secondary schools. The third step is the Special events. We plan to hold 34 special events in rural and 30 in 30 secondary schools. The last step will be Mobile VCT Services which will be hold at the same day as the special events in rural.
The idea of this project came from experience gained during implementation of both Mobile VCT Project supported by MTV SAF and VCT Campaign Project supported by GYCA.
It combines different suggestions we got from youth, different health experts and government’s officials.
