Action Projects

1- Chantiers Urbains - Ville de Québec Project Description: The international participants and young Quebecers will be paired and working together on revitalizing the various natural attractions of Quebec City. The Chantiers Urbains is a program which facilitates the involvement of the young people, to become actors of their environment. Clan Leader: 2- Théâtre la Marjolaine Project Description: The young people will build a pedestrian trail in the woods near the Théâtre de la Marjolaine. This trail will be part of a vacation resort for the visitors to the theater and for the surrounding people. Clan Leader: 3- APEPA (Amenagement plan d'eau et plein air) Project Description: The delegates are going to build a rustic campsite in the woods near the Éco-Chalet. They will work building a biological garden and they will be introduced to a medicinal herbs workshop. Clan Leader: 4- Théâtre des Gros Becs Project Description: The Théâtre des Gros Becs is the only theater for children in the city of Quebec and the young people are going to repare the theater. They will make the promotion of the Gros Becs in the surrounding schools Clan Leader: 5- MRC Matawini Project Description: In different communities of the MRC Matawinie, the delegates are going to participate in activities to help several organizations. They will learn about organic farming, do development chores in the national parks and entertain some young people. Clan Leader: 6- Société de la rivière St-Charles Project Description: The delegates will be matched with a group in charge of cleaning the banks of the St-Charles River throughout the summer. This river had, during the last years, to be cleaned frequently so the people from the area can enjoy walking in a pleasant place Clan Leader: 7- Entr'acte Project Description: This organization works in a theatre with people living with diverse handicaps. The theatre is used to demonstrate that these young people have the same chances as all. The delegates will have to create a short play which will be presented during the return on all action projects. Clan Leader: 8- Centre d'étude collégiale de Charlevoix Project Description: Young people will launch a community radio and the Congress is going to help at the logistic level and will make international capsules. It will also be possible to participate at the back to school show by presenting a mix of the represented cultures. Clan Leader: 9- Camp musical St-Alexandre Project Description: The participants will make painting, buildings repairing and ground purification chores, in the aim of constructions on the camp. Evenings around a campfire are planned to make the international delegates discovering the songs from Québec. Clan Leader: 10- Vidéo Femme Project Description: The young people will talk about a subject that affects them through videos. They will have the chance to get know more about the various professions which exist behind a camera. This creation will be presented at the return of the delegates from the action projects Clan Leader: 11- Ferme La Maria Project Description: The Farm La Maria is an organic farm which makes baskets for the surrounding areas of Quebec. The participants work on the products from the farm. They are going to put them into baskets and deliver them in the various places. They will also be introduced to spices and natural plants. Clan Leader: 12- CRE Longueuil/ La croisée de Longueuil Project Description: This project is about creating collective gardens wich encourage young people to go back to school and wich teach them about environnement development. The delegates of the Congress are going to work to maintain the gardens and will visit the Montreal region. Clan Leader: 13- Forum Jeunesse Mauricie/ Ferme des jeunes Project Description: This project is about a farm which uses the zootherapy to help the people having more repect of themselves and more self-confidence. The young delegates will help in the farm on various concrete tasks. They will make of the entertainment and will repair some buildings arround the farm Clan Leader: 14- Maison de transition Project Description: Located in the top of a hill, this shelter welcomes people living difficult situations. It is possible for them to relax while working for communities in the surroundings areas. The delegates will have the chance of helping in the shelter and meeting some farmers in the neighbourhood to discover the Ile d’Orléans Clan Leader: 15- Centre de loisir Deschambault-Grondines 16- GREB Project Description: The delegates will be introduced to the functioning of the ecological construction and how to use it in their respective environment. They will have to plant trees, build a hebertism track and clean the existing pedestrian paths. Clan Leader: 17- Camp trois-saumons Project Description: There will be more then thirty young people in the Camp Trois Saumons who will help to put on foot the camp after its summer season which will end at the same time. A hebertism track needs to be revitalized, it will also be necessary to collect the dead leaves and trees, and make some painting on the various buildings of the camp. Clan Leader: 18- Mont Radar Project Description: The Radar Mountain is an eco-village and more people come as visitors or to live there. The group of young people will come to give a hand on the ground, they will paint the central house which is used by the Radar Mountain community. Clan Leader: 19- Plan Nagua Project Description: The participants will be immersed in a organisation which promotes the fair trade since many years. They will help in the Cafe Nagua, and will visit an organic farm and will visit shops which make the promotion of the fair trade. Clan Leader: 20- Groupe action jeunesse Project Description: The delegates will mark the ground for a friendly competition called the Extreme Odyssey and they will have the chance to discover the magnificent region of Charlevoix. Clan Leader: 21- Comité de valorisation de la rivière Beauport Project Description: The young people will make scientific tests to analyze the various constituents of the water. They will be taking care of the river banks by cleaning them and revitalizing some places around. Clan Leader: 22- Cité Joie Project Description: The young people are going to work in the day camp, and will clean the ground, the paths and some buildings. They will be in touch with a people which live with diverse handicaps Clan Leader: 23- École St-Fidèle Project Description: The delegates of the Congress are going to participate in the transformation of an elementary school by painting the walls with lively colors murals which facilitate the imagination. Clan Leader: 24- Aux berges du Lac Castor Project Description: The delegates will make a lot of manual work at the inn by repairing a wall of cement, also by painting of the buildings and by taking care of the paths. There are some ideas about starting building a chalet with a more artistic vocation. Clan Leader: 25- CLD Côte-de-Beaupré Project Description: The delegates are going to participate in the last logistic details concerning the big party of the Côte-de-Beaupré in the frame of the 400th of Quebec. Clan Leader: 26- Regroupement Action Jeunesse Project Description: In different communities of the MRC Matawinie, the delegates are going to participate in activities to help several organizations. They will learn about organic farming, do development chores in the national parks and entertain some young people. Clan Leader: 27- Éco-Quartier Project Description: The young people will learn about the urban organic farming. They will go on different composting sites, they will promote a local food celebration. Clan Leader: 28- Khamtaar/Faire ensemble Project Description: The international delegates will meet with people of the first nations, they will install a yurt and will make various activities and jobs for the organization. Clan Leader: 29- Festival du Bûcheux Project Description: They are going to participate in the last minute logistics for the Festival du Bûcheux, to make some decoration on the site and to exchange with the city’s inhabitants. Clan Leader: 30- Grandi-Ose Project Description: This organisation brings support and helps families living with people with handicaps. The young people are going to make manual jobs on the house and they are going to make of the entertaining with the other participants. Clan Leader: 31- Construction Apex Project Description: In different communities of the MRC Matawinie, the delegates are going to participate in activities to help several organizations. They will learn about organic farming, do development chores in the national parks and entertain some young people. Clan Leader: 32- Resto-Bar La coopérative L'AGITÉE Project Description: The young people will be introduced to the ecological construction in an eco-district. They will work on the landscaping of the entrance of the eco-district and they will also make a welcome panel to leave a concrete symbol of their passage. Clan Leader: 33- Vidéo Jordanie Project Description: The participants will be included in a project of shooting made by certain delegates of the Congress. They will be introduced to the professions behind and in front of the camera Clan Leader:
