Young people in Suva working in the area of Youth and Mental Health.
Background:
A group of young people participated in the Suicide Prevention Policy Youth Consultation. After hearing more in details-facts & statistics & the suicide rate in Fiji and how young people are the vulnerable group to complete or attempt suicide. rnGiven that the reported-cases - statistics showed that young people had the highest rate of committing or attempting suicide.rnThese young people eventually formed the Youth Champs 4 Mental Health.
Objectives:
To educate, advocate on Mental Heallth and Mental Health related discorders.
Milestones:
Faciliated the concept for the successful performance of Rishikul Sanatan College, Nasinu.rnRishikul won the best concept, best costumes and best backstage & overall final awards.rnThey were also the first school to take on the Suicide Prevention Theme - Rejection & Expectations.
