Brief Description of Organization: The World Bank is one of the largest sources of development assistance in the world today. World Bank programs provide developing countries with loans that enable them to improve living conditions and foster economic growth. Furthermore, World Bank programs fight corruption, pollution, drugs, HIV/AIDS—all issues that have no borders. I work in the North American Affairs team which aims to build a dialogue with American and Canadian citizens about the World Bank's mission to reduce poverty around the world. We work with members of the American and Canadian governments, civil society organizations, youth and academics and the private sector.

Headquartered in Toronto, Canada, with a growing worldwide presence, the organization's flagship program’ TakingITGlobal.org, serves as the most popular online community for young people interested in connecting across cultures and making a difference, with hundreds of thousands of visitors each month.
TakingITGlobal works with global partners – from UN agencies, to major companies, and especially youth organizations – to build the capacity of youth for development, artistic and media expression, make education more engaging, and involve young people in global decision-making.
My role at TakingITGlobal is Online Community Partnerships Coordinator and among other things my goal is to create and foster partnerships that benefit the online community.

Interesting info about me:I am a great events organizer and guest services attendant... one of our projects in YAFE is the youthxchange project wherein i acted as guest services, and catered to the needs of the celebrities and also the young achievers needs. I have hosted parties for about 7 years. And I am one of the winners of the MTV STAYIN-ALIVE VLOGIT COMPETITION '08.
