This initiative sets at creating a collaborative network of art communities which are to use art as a medium of effecting change. Youths get to organize art projects which are themed to address societal issues in their respective communities It is seen that art breaks through all barriers of individuality and breeds an environment of togetherness irrespective of differences which exists. Having seen arts – especially performing arts - fuse a diversified society, it can be used to handle hot topics such as cultural, religious, social tolerance, understanding and coordination.
Background:
The name Y.E.N.I. stands for Youth Evolutionary Network Initiative - which defines how we go about our projects. It currently comprises of artists and musicians who are University students.
Objectives:
Y.E.N.I. sets out to use performing arts as a medium of propagating the wave of positivity in society (and the necessary negatives) without altering the entertaining factor.
Milestones:
Y.E.N.I. MUSIC completed some debut tracks - \"My Life is ÇOK GŰZEL\" and \"Shades and Shadows\", which have been performed in some youth events.
Budget:
We get support from the University and other youth organizations on campus like - AIESEC, TOG, MUSIC CLUBS etc.
Needs:
Young minds with support for this initiative and are willing to start up communities like this in their universities and colleges
