Description:
Young Global Citizens are the next community, education, NGO, business, government and policy leaders in the field of international relations.
Young Global Citizens has been established as an email update list to share conference, experience and internship opportunities across Macquarie University students and young professionals, so that they can develop their careers and interests.
Objectives:
Young Global Citizens strive to:
- communicate effectively across cultures
- understand international relations & systems
- explore 21st century international developments
- become educated and exceptional young leaders
Young Global Citizens was established by Ainsley Gilkes, a Master of International Relations student at Macquarie University, Sydney. Ainsley has had the opportunity to attend APEC, Commonwealth and UN campaign events; and decided that many of her peers at university had not heard of or had limited access to also attending.
Macquarie students can join the list and receive periodic emails with event details.
Members are also encouraged to regularly check the TakingITGlobal event calendar for a wider scope of opportunities.
Needs:
* If you have attended an event, please share a report of your experience with our group.
* If you are coordinating a delegation, please let our members know about the opportunity.
