LABOUR MARKET INFO SERVE NETWORK commissioned a research study on youth unemployment in 2005 and has concluded the exercise with the presentation to the BOARD of its findings. It is vivid and quite expository. Though localised in Nigeria, the findings are of universal application.
Background:
OUR MISSION is to design and implement strategies that give young people everywhere, the real chance to find decent and productive jobs; promoting equal opportunities, employability, entreprenurship and job creation for the global population.
Objectives:
The NETWORK is inviting global comments on the findings of the research with a view to using such comments in the next project which is to design a ROADMAP out of the sordid situation so presented.Viable comments received will be used in the designing of a GLOBAL ACTION PLAN [GAP] against youth unemployment and authors of such comments will receive appointments into a body to be constituted for the implementation of GAP worldwide and to direct the affairs of GAP in their respective countries as EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS with attached remunerations.
