Description:
YouthAID is a a youth-led, Australian-based organization that aims to give aid to youth who are in situations that are no cause of their own, and ned desperate help. If our young neighbours have opportunity, hope and peace, we can make a difference. youthAID International is working for a goal common to most organisations: A world where poverty does not rule, where peace prevails over war, and where no one goes without the necessities we take for granted.
Objectives:
1) Medical Centre X
Our major goal/project is to build a medical centre in the village of Ipuli, Tanzania. Ipuli is situated 85 km from the nearest hospital, and 35km from the nearest airport. AIDS is prevelant, and many other medical issues need to be addressed urgently.
2) Y.I.S.H
YISH is the youthAID International Sponsored Hike for 2003. This is a 112km hike in the Wollemi National Park, Australia. Funds raised are going towards "Medical Centre X."
