Description:
W wanted to put up this project in our community and later extend it to other needed communities to promote ICT training in the youth or lives of young people to reduces the rate of poverty in developing areas in the country and international body as a whole to make the indepent in their economic lives.
Background:
EMPOWERING THE YOUTH THROUGH ICT TRAINING
Objectives:
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
PACESETTERS FOUNDATION shall serve as the mouthpiece of the entire youth of Klagon community and the entire country and shall engage in activities and programmes including but not limited to the following:
1. To provide means of communication between the entire youth and the various authorities of the community and elsewhere on matters affecting the youth the community as a whole
2. To create a platform where the youth can meet and deliberate on issues affecting the welfare of the youth and the overall development of our dear community (Klagon) and the Nation as a whole.
3. To foster peace, unity and stability among the entire inhabitants of the community especially the youth so as to help develop the community. This has become necessary because peace, unity and stability are prerequisites for every community’s development as well as Ghana and the international body as a whole.
4. To empower the youth especially those who are under-privileged with employable skills in various occupations.
5. To encourage the youth to develop positive attitudes towards issues and activities that will promote the community’s development.
6. To encourage the entire youth to refrain from deviant and criminal acts like drunkenness, sexual promiscuity, drug abuse, fighting, laziness, stealing, fraud etc.
7. To periodically embark on health campaigns. This would include free medical care and other health services.
8. To collaborate and coordinate with other youth associations in Ghana and international in matters of mutual interest.
9. To organise lectures, debates, symposia, seminars, excursions, conferences, clean up campaigns, and other programmes that shall be deemed by members to be in their interest and at the same time in the interest of the community.
10. To provide a free ICT training centre and library for registered members throughout the country and the international body as a whole.
11. To allot scholarship schemes for members with interest of furthering their education to the highest level.
