Hi all
Wish all of you a happy new year
shall we have some suggestions on how we can move forwrad in 2004 ?
A---how to have
(1) more new members to contribute (introduce this sites to your school mates, friends, teachers)
(2) more valuable content (news, views, ideas, projects) to be included
(3) more interesting links (Science Fairs links, YS-networking links) to be made to science communities world-wide
(4) more innovative programs for young scientists
B---who will take the above challenges to be the moderators ?
C---find smart partners to form teams to meet the challenges
----team-building may be the first step forward
tell us about
1- your team
2----your team's interest
3----your intended contributions
cheers,
plkim

about 2004, I think recently about YSN we are still in developing status. So we have to publish and make the YSN become well - known. This we can use the internet function. Beside that, I suggest we can form seminars for those young scientists in some certain research topics such as disease control, for example. In same time this can publish YSN and we can for a linkage for worldwide young scientists or regional young scientists.
For research projects, currently I am working up in molecular study in entomology and for others who are keen with this field, they can share their info together and maybe we can form a collaboration project. About research projects, I think we can open for all young scientists to voice out and present the projects in this platform but within condition, we have to provide them facilities and technical supports so they might success their research projects. For their research results and finals, we can collect and filed it as journal. This can increasing the information exchange for all young scientists through journal. Yes, grants support is needed for research projects and for recent status, the projects selection and approvment is needed so our budget situation will not out of our ability.

For myself, what I intented to contribute is in genetics and immunology studies. Recently about antisense oligonucleotides development is become one of the hot topics.
In same time, I have an idea for research topic. Why don't we study about RNAi (RNA interference) phenomenon?
