Description:
Zeropa is a collaborative project to make low-carbon travel in Europe easy, fun and accessible. Initially we're creating a step-by-step guide to travelling by rail, coach, ferry, lift-sharing, cycling and walking between different European countries. We welcome contributions from anyone!
Background:
The project started when a group of young environmentalists at the Friends of the Earth YouPEC 2007 conference decided that something needed to be done to make green travel attractive and fun, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from transport and contribute to the war on climate change :-)
Objectives:
1. A collaborative 'how-to' international travel guide for Europe - not a guide to tourist destinations;
2. Get in touch to find out more about our exciting plans after that!
Budget:
We are looking for funding to fund future web development. Please get in touch if you would like to help with this.
Needs:
* Contributors - anyone who knows where to look to plan low-carbon journeys (by rail, coach, ferry, lift-sharing, cycling or walking) anywhere in Europe.
* Funders who can finance web development as we move towards a more exciting future
* Web developers who would like to help us produce a funky site people will want to visit again and again
